We have had a great time in our nurseries this week; even the rainy weather hasn’t damped our spirits.
This week we have been focusing on the outdoor areas. The children have had a wonderful time discovering and learning about mini-beasts, learning about planting and growing and developing their physical skills by using large outdoor equipment.
Small groups of children, in their learning bubbles, have extended this outdoor theme to include indoor educational moments such as counting games and creative activities to decorate our nurseries.
All of the children have explored how plants and vegetables grow, including discussions about healthy eating. We have read The Hungry Caterpillar and even enjoyed a Hungry Caterpillar fruit platter.
The nursery managers and practitioners are pleased to be welcoming back more and more children who seem to have grown and developed extensively during lockdown.
We have managed daily routines to incorporate the updated operation procedures, but that has not affected the fun we are having!
Ashbourne Nurseries are excited and are looking forward to the re-opening of our nurseries in Leighton Buzzard and Bricket Wood which will be opening from Monday 22nd June; we cant wait to see you all.
