Christmas Opening Hours: We close at 2pm on the 24th December and re-open as normal on the 2nd January.

Ashbourne Day Nurseries at Upton Meadows is located within the grounds of Upton Meadows Primary School and we are situated within the same building as Upton Children’s centre.

We provide care and learning opportunities for children aged 2 – 4 years old. Our classroom is a large open space enabling free interaction between ages. This approach is beneficial for the development of lifelong skills and embeds a family culture. Younger students are motivated to learn by the skills learnt and demonstrated by their older peers.

Ashbourne works in partnership with Upton Meadows Primary school to provide exciting educational experiences to all children within our care, including valuable transition to school visits and access to their outdoor facilities. We have excellent links to the local community working in partnership with other professionals to provide support for our families. We also conduct regular visits to the local retirement villages.

We also offer a Breakfast & Afterschool Club for Upton Primary school children, this is suitable for school age children up to 11 years old and is open Monday-Friday, from 7.45am – 6pm, Term time only. We also offer Holiday Clubs for Upton Primary pupils aged up to 11.  Other benefits include;

Enhancing social interactions and cognitive development  –  Learning in an environment rich with language  –  Developing leadership skills and independence

At Upton Meadows pre-school we have a highly skilled and qualified team of practitioners, with 25 years of experience amongst the leadership team alone. We are able to provide extensive learning opportunities that incorporate both the children’s interests and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). Learning is lead by Level 6 practitioners who have obtained their BA (Hons) Early Childhood studies and Early Years Teacher Status.
