Ashbourne Day Nurseries Go Mad About Harry This February
We hope everyone will support us as Ashbourne Day Nurseries Go Mad About Harry later this month.
Mad About Harry is all about Harry Banks, a ten-year-old bubbly, smiley, very cheeky, but completely adorable boy who lives close to our Leighton Buzzard nursery.
Having fought off Neuroblastoma several years ago, Harry relapsed this year and Mad About Harry is all about raising the funds the family needs for a ground-breaking trial at MSK in New York or in Barcelona. The NHS has been fabulous with the care and treatment they have been able to provide for Harry so far but he is now in unknown NHS waters and this privately funded treatment is the only lifeline available.
Leighton Buzzard Nursery Manager Sarah Bridgen stepped up to organise a local fundraising week, which was soon picked up by the other nurseries in the group. MD Imran Medhi has also agreed to donate £10 for every new registration across the nursery group in that week!
Ashbourne Day Nurseries Go Mad About Harry kicks off week commencing 25th February – and is designed to cover the whole week so that all the children can take part, even if they are not full time at nursery. The plan is that each nursery can take part in one or many events!
- Monday – Odd sock day
- Tuesday- Fancy Dress day
- Wednesday- Pyjamas Day
- Thursday- Mad Hair/ Wear a Hat day.
- Friday- Nursery can choose a fundraiser
Every nursery will be taking part in a Name the Teddy contest
Head of Operations Charlie Gould, and MD Imran Medhi have already made personal contributions to the campaign – Charlie reckons she can win Mad Hair Day every day, and Imran has something in mind for the Odd Sock Day!
